Twinkle Meet Twitter 0

I was browsing the headlines on TUAW today and ran across their review of Twinkle from Gogo Apps.  Being an occasional user of Twitter I found the concept of Twinkle pretty cool. Twinkle is a Twitter client which adds photos and geo-location, URL’s and Follow/Stop Following control. The beauty is that you can find people “twittering” near you, if that’s your thing.

It’s seems easy to use(I’ll admit I haven’t used it yet, so I really don’t know), but the reviewer on TUAW seems to have liked it, except for “an infinite loop of authentication errors and had to force-quit the application” when he put his password in wrong.

Holy Crap Sour Skittles 0

I didn’t even know. When did they start making sour Skittles? Something tells me these are going to be great. I’m going to have to go out and get some right now, no tomorrow, no right now today. Ok, gotta get a hold of myself. Tomorrow.

Jott This! 0

If you get angry with those voice command services that UPS uses, then you are going to hate Jott. If you prefer writing little notes to yourself on post its, then forget it. However, if you like the idea of being able to voice to text yourself and others than you are going to love Jott.

Jott is a web service that turns your voice into text. Once you sign up with their service, you can call the Jott number and leave yourself messages that are turned into text emails to yourself, make appointments on Google calendar, use Zillow and myriad other things like blogging and social networking.

I had good experiences with the service. I was able to send myself reminders which were emailed to my Google email account, get a price for a house that I passed by using Zillow and made an appointment on my Google calendar. I also was able to blog using WordPress, which was fine when it was short. But my long post experiment, for some reason, had the word “shit” sprinkled throughout the post. Which doesn’t make sense since my favorite swear word starts with an F and ends with and uck sound.

Overall, Jott seems like a good service, and handy. I plan on using it on a regular basis, mainly because I have a real problem with writing things down.
