Surfing Tech 0

So I am here to admit to being a huge tech geek.  There was a time when being one wasn’t so cool but nowadays it seems tech geeks are heading for world supremacy.  When I am online you can find me surfing for news on the latest quad core chips, new gadgets or surfing some hot new tech directory. I seldom spend time reading boring celeb gossip or anything like that.  I don’t even follow mainstream daily news anymore because it is all so darn depressing, rapes-murders and such.  So if you want to be ‘with-it’ start following tech news.

Ribbit 0

Ribbit is Silicon Valley’s first phone company. They haven’t yet launched but you can sign up to get your free account. I’ve signed up, along with thousands of others I presume. Hopefully in the new year I’ll get an account some time.

Kiva: Loans to the World 0

If you’ve never heard of Kiva, it’s a great way for people to connect and loan money, in amounts as low as $25, to small businesses in the developing world. Throughout the course of the loan (usually 6-12 months), you can receive email journal updates from the business you’ve sponsored. As loans are repaid, you get your loan money back, to hopefully loan to another deserving business.

Increase Ad Revenue, Learn a Language 0

A new service purports to help you gain revenue from Adsense and others by helping you choose the ads and ad networks that will work the best with your site. PubMatic is in alpha mode right now, but you can still register.

Want to learn a language the social networking way? Go check Live Mocha. According to the site it’s the first of it’s kind. It has fun and interactive lessons, and you can track your progress and, I guess, talk to people who actually speak the language you are learning. I wonder if they offer pig Latin?

SiteFever.com, New Site for Me 5

I was pretty surprised to see sitefever.com up for sale on Digital Point, and then sell quickly for just over $1000. In a short 11 weeks the blog was fairly popular. I wish the new owner luck!

GoMotorScooter.com is my newest blog. It will be all about espousing the goodness of riding a motor scooter. Please check it out and let me know if you have any suggestions.
