Brochure Printing Comments Off

Anyone with a business has to market, and one of the first things he needs after his cards is a brochure describing his products, services and any other detail that he can print. Most people look at brochure printing as something that you need to do because you have a business. Its lost on these uninformed folks that a good brochure can single handedly can be the difference between you getting the business. Of course it is important that you business be good enough, but it is equally important that all marketing material, starting with the brochure be top class.

Lately I came across a brochure that I had designed but was printed by someone else, thus when I came to finally see it there were many printing errors, like bands and color spills. In short, the facility that did the brochure printing was shoddy and unprofessional. The people who oversaw the brochure printing accepted the messed up brochures and used it with all its flaws. Now imagine a client with some understanding of what a brochure should be like coming across this brochure, and this is the person who you would be calling up for his business. By sending him a shoddily printed brochure can one hope to really get that mans business, I don?t think so.

Gawker Artists 1

My mom, a fairly talented amateur artist, sent me to a painting class at the ripe old age of 8 to start me on my way to a glorious career of artistry. It took all of about three lessons to; 1. realize I had little talent and 2. I preferred to watch the other kids paint while I drank my Kool-Aid out of my Spiderman thermos. Thus began my career of being an admiring art fan. And I am still one today. Check out my ode to struggling and not so struggling creative artists with the addition of a Gawker Artists banner at the bottom of my website. The art rotates, so each time the page is loaded you get new art, and you can find information on the artist by clicking the banner. Now get yourself some culture.

Ergo

I found a great tool today called Ergo. Ergo is a very cool desktop search tool. After installing the software you can run a search, which brings in results from other search engines and resources. You rely on one source for your search efforts, or all at the same time. What makes all of this visually stimulating is that the results come back in a 3-D view which you can move around. The view range from 3D cloud, 3D cubes, tag clouds and 3D grids. It is very nice, you have to see it. Plus you can share your results with other users, personalizing your search results with a pen tool which looks like handwriting. I have seen the future of and it is Ergo!

RAID Servers Backup and Recovery 3

Raid servers or small NAS boxes are used to store large amount of data and to provide additional security towards data loss. Raids are made of several hard drives, so just like in usual hard drives, Raids can also crash. It’s always good to have some good backup strategy to make sure the crashes don’t affect the ongoing work and in cases of data loss restoration can happen within no time. The key is in making sure that the backup strategy is implemented and followed religiously, as usually most of us tend to form strategies and follow it up with poor implementation. However, in case of data loss make sure to get professional help on Raid Recovery from professionals like Disk Doctors Data Recovery Labs, they have been around for a long time and present across the globe.
